Come and enjoy the natural beauty and relax at Placerville Camp. This incredible facility, located by Rapid Creek on leased Black Hills National Forest land, has been providing a place of retreat for more than 75 years. Placerville is tucked away 12 miles west of Rapid City and two miles off Highway 44. It is approximately one half hour from most major attractions.

Our facility includes a lodge and variety of cabins for housing guests as well as a beautiful chapel that seats approximately 200 people. Our lodge is set up with dormitory style rooms, bathrooms with showers and a central meeting room on the top floor. The main floor consists of the dining room, handicap restroom, meeting room and two stone fireplaces. The lower level consists of a large carpeted recreation room, bathrooms and a large stone fireplace. All levels overlook Rapid Creek.

We are a year-round facility with a full-service kitchen and hospitality is of the utmost importance.

Opportunities for Programming

Much of the camp has received a face-life since 1997, so it is possible to experience the wonderful outdoors while enjoying the comforts of home.

Some of the things that Placerville has to offer are: hiking trails, fishing, sand volleyball, areas for softball or kickball, basketball, swimming at Pactola Lake, scooters, a 1500 square foot deck on Mayflower Hall, newly remodeled cabins and a praise band to perform upon availability. The chapel basement is a large open area with a stage which comes in handy for bad weather.

Prices for 13 years of age and up:

Prices for 6 to 12 years of age:

$7.00 - Breakfast
$8.00 - Lunch
$10.00 - Supper
$25.00 - Overnight
$50.00 - Total cost per person/day

Prices for 5 years of age and under:

$3.00 per plate for meals
Free overnight

Day Use Fee

$15.00 per person and includes coffee, hot chocolate, and cold drink.

Chapel Fees

- $1500 for weddings
- receptions are extra
- $200 for heat
